Travel Details

We are taking a charter bus with a certified drivers. The bus holds 45 people with the typical luggage storage area. We will make regularly scheduled stops to fuel up & stretch.   Since we have multiple bus drivers our plan is to drive through the night to Orlando.

Meet 6:30 AM In front of the HUB, Saturday, March 6th

Depart State College 7:00AM - Breakfast is on your own- we won't be stopping until lunch

Overnight

Arrive in Orlando, FL - 5:15am Sunday, March 7th - 11221 John Wycliffe Blvd. Orlando, FL 32832

Return

Leave Orlando 7:00AM Saturday, March 13th

Overnight

Arrive back in State College - 7:00am Sunday, March 14th

Daily Schedule

Monday - Thursday:

8am-9am Breakfast and personal time with God

9am-5pm Work at Wycliffe

5pm-6pm Cleanup from working; cook and eat dinner

7pm-8/830pm Worship, group devotions

Friday:

Day Off - Kennedy Space Center

What To Bring

• Appropriate attire: Temperatures could range from upper 60s to mid 80s and we'll be serving outdoors, so plan for modest work clothes and modest casual attire. Talk to a staff worker about this if you're not sure about modesty
• Your insurance card (or info) and photo ID
• We are staying in apartments where linens are provided.  A few people may have to bring a sleeping bag, air mattress, & pillow.  Please ask a staff member if you have to bring one.
• Towel
• Flip flops for the showers
• Toiletries
• Bible & notebook
• Extra spending cash for 7 meals on the road.
• Friday: Money for Kennedy Space Center Ticket - $38

Insurance & Liability Info

DiscipleMakers has limited liability insurance to cover this travel. Penn State also has a fairly comprehensive liability insurance for students participating in student group events. Please ask if you have more questions/concerns about this.
